Dealing With Disruptions

 

We all experience disruptions.  Some are minor. Some are life changing.  They may be what we think of as positive: taking that bucket list trip, traveling to see friends/family, someone is getting married, having a child/grandchild, buying your dream home, moving to your dream community, a paid speaking tour, etc.  We may have planned for them. They may or may not have turned out as anticipated.

Another set of disruptions are those unexpected, unplanned events that are causing complications, grief or trauma: your computer and/or backup system failed wiping out hours of work, illness, injury, floods, fire, illness, divorce, death, lawsuit, job loss, business sector crash, etc.

What techniques do you use to stay focused and manage the disruptions to your schedule, mindset, finances, and physical/mental/emotional well-being?
